About
Cybersecurity-focused IT student at UT Dallas with hands-on experience in SOC operations, SIEM tooling, and applied security work.
I'm a senior at the University of Texas at Dallas finishing a B.S. in Information Technology and Systems. My focus sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, cloud computing, and the practical workflows that make security operations actually work in production environments.
Most recently I interned as a Service Delivery Technician at CMIT Solutions, where I implemented end-to-end SIEM integration on Perchybana for O365, firewall, and TLS logs — mapping data to standardized fields and building dashboards alongside SOC staff. Before that, I was a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern at Y&L Consulting, running daily log analysis in Splunk and supporting CVE triage and phishing investigation work.
I hold the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and CompTIA Network+ certifications and I'm actively preparing for the CompTIA Security+ exam. The pattern I follow is the same across all of them: structured study guides for each domain, then quizzes with shuffled, harder-difficulty questions to build real recall.
I work as a Peer Advisor at UT Dallas, supporting residents through conflict resolution and community-building. Outside of work and school I follow emerging tech closely — recently doing deep dives on quantum computing, particularly IonQ's trapped-ion approach.
Full-time roles in cybersecurity, security operations, cloud security, or IT systems where I can apply hands-on SIEM, IAM, and cloud experience and grow into a strong security professional.
